Rio de Janeiro: The Top two teams in Group B are about to lock horns as Brazil and Colombia fight it out in Rio de Janeiro. Elsewhere, Ecuador will face Peru in Goania aiming for a quarter-final spot on Thursday (June 24).
Brazil is leading the group as they have won both the opening matches, although Colombia had an underwhelming start to their Copa America campaign with a 2-1 defeat to Peru. The defending Copa America champions, will be looking to extend their winning run in the group stages with an aim to add their tenth Copa America trophy to their cabinet.
With already 3-0 and 4-0 victory over Venezuela and Peru respectively Tite’s men are clearly dominating this group so far. Both the victories came quite easily to the Selecao as their opposition were for no match against them. Brazil have a 9 matches winning streak across all competitions and are one of the title contenders this season.
Colombia on the other hand, need to improve in many aspects, in spite of winning the first match with Edwin Cardona lone goal against Ecuador they faltered against an underwhelming Peru side who suffered a 4-0 defeat to Brazil. They had a goalless draw against Venezuela. To match up to the likes of Brazil they would have to come out a lot more resilient.

Ecuador started the tournament with a narrow defeat to Colombia, although they were the better team creating a lot of chances but missed out on finding the back of the net. Followed by a 2-2 draw with Venezuela. Peru however are within the top four position. A win for either they teams will be a step towards next round.
They started the campaign with a crashing 4-0 loss against Brazil, but recovered from it with a win against Colombia. Peru would have to work in order remain in the top four to book a slot in the next round for themselves.
