Cadiz: Barcelona lost to Cádiz 1-2 in La Liga on Sunday (December 6), breaking their three-game winning streak across all competitions. Barça failed to break down the defence of Cádiz, who converted their chances and walked away with three important points to stay in the top 6 of the league table.

The home team got a lead early on as Alvaro Gimenez scored on eight minutes from a weird Óscar Mingueza header against his own net. Despite a great save by Marc-André ter Stegen the damage was done.

With the lead in pocket the hosts put up a resilient defence which Barça simply could not break. The attacking players were trying to move around the final third and link up, but all in vain. The half time whistle saw the host lead 1-0 over the Blaugranes.

Ronald Koeman made two attacking substitutions at halftime. Pedri and Ousmane Dembele came in for Mingueza and Philippe Coutinho. Barça started the second half well, moving the ball better and taking more shots at goal. An own goal by Alcalá on 57 minutes, from a well created attacking move equalised the scoreline for the visitors.

Álvaro Negredo scored from a loose ball from Clement Lenglet, taking the ball away from Marc-André ter Stegen and scoring on an open net on 63 minutes.

During the final 10 minutes Jeremias Ledesma made two giant saves on shots by Miralem Pjanic and Antoine Griezmann. Hence helped preserve his team the lead and helped them win the match.
