London: Premier League defending champions Manchester City will begin their campaign with an away match against Tottenham Hotspurs on August 15. With the new season commencing on August 13, Pep Guardiola’s men will once again hope to retain their title.

The 2021-22 Premier League see the newly-promoted Brentford take on Arsenal in the opener. Nicknamed as ‘Bees’, Brentford are making a Premier League return after long 74 years. The last time Brentford were seen in top-flight English football was in the 1946-47 season.

On August 14, Ole Gunner Solksjær’s Manchester United will host Leeds United, who strive for a different result this time. Chelsea, Liverpool and Leicester City will also attempt hard to set things straight after a disappointing last Premier League season.

Norwich City and Watford will play in the league having automatically promoted from the championship. They will be facing Liverpool and Aston Villa respectively in their openers at home. The likes of Brighton, West Ham United, Newcastle United and Burnley will also start their journey on August 14.

But, what interesting in this season will be the return of the fans at the stadiums. Fans have started arriving at the stadiums in the last two weeks last season. With the UK Government likely to ease the restrictions slowly, so this year we can see spectators enjoying from the stands.
