Vadodara : Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by 6 wickets in WPL 2026 final to clinch 2nd WPL title.

DC openers Batting first gave good 49 runs opening partnership, but both Shafali Verma (20) & Lizelle Lee (37) departed on 72 runs.

Jemimah Rodrigues (57) & Laura Wolvaardt (44) notched up 76 runs partnership to but DC back on track. Chinelle Henry (35*) played an ending cameo to bring DC score to 203-4 (20).

Chasing 204 runs, RCB lost Grace Harris (9) early on 9 runs. However, RCB skipper Smriti Mandhana (87) & Georgia Voll (79) smashed 165 runs partnership, highest stand in WPL history.

The match , though almost turning into RCB’s favour, saw some twists as they lost quick 3 wickets and were reduced from 174-1 (16.2) to 191-4 (18.4), with both Mandhana and Voll losing their wickets.

However, Radha Yadav (12*), whose catch was dropped in the 19th over, smashed 2 boundaries in the last over bowled by Shree Charani and achieved the historic feat for RCB. The total is also the highest chase in WPL history, and that too on occasion of final.

The match, which was a repeat of 2024 WPL final, saw RCB winning both times. DC on the contrary lost 4 consecutive WPL finals, a record they would love to forget.
