Navi Mumbai : UP Warriorz defeated Mumbai Indians by 22 runs at Navi Mumbai, with help of Meg Lanning’s 70 (45), their 2nd consecutive win this season against the franchise.
Batting first, UP lost Kiran Navgire in first over. However, Lanning and Phoebe Litchfield (61) smashed 119 runs partnership to bring them back on track.
Harleen Deol (25) and Chloe Tryon (21) played good cameos but the team lost their way at the end, scoring only 10 runs at loss of 4 wickets and put up 187-8 (20). Amelia Kerr picked up 3 wickets for Mumbai Indians.
Chasing 188 runs, MI were reduced to 69-5, as their star studded top order failed to impress.
Amelia (49*) and Amanjot Kaur (41) took the game deep with their 83 runs partnership, but, a 3 runs 19th over from Shikha Pandey was the final nail in the coffin, as UP managed to restrict MI to 22 runs.
