Bengaluru: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are one of the most popular team in IPL for their huge fanbase. Despite having some of the biggest names of the game like Chris Gayle, KL Rahul, Shane Watson and AB De Villiers along with captain Kohli they have never won the title. RCB and India’s leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has opined that the franchise’s death-over bowling has been their biggest problem over the last few years. He pointed out that the runs they have leaked in the final few overs have changed the momentum of most of the matches.

The start of the new season of IPL which will be played in the UAE, RCB star Yuzvendra Chahal pointed out one of the major reasons behind the team’s struggles in IPL.
Asking about RCB’s performance throughout the years, Aakash Chopra asked Yuzvendra Chahal if he is frustrated that RCB have had a poor three years despite their excellent performance, Chahal said he believes “RCB’s death bowling has been poor in the last few years which have cost them a lot of games. Chahal, who is the strike bowler of the Kohli-led side, feels RCB have lost 30 per cent of matches due to their poor death bowling.”
“I have played for RCB for 6 years, the problem has always been, other than the one year when we had Starc, our death-over bowling,” Chahal told Aakash Chopra in an interview on his YouTube channel.

Meanwhile RCB players are currently in quarantine and will be travelling to the UAE soon for their pre-season camp ahead of the start of the new IPL season from September 19.
