Dhoni returned to his best in death overs by playing a crucial cameo. While he exuded calmness and was super composed after hitting the winning boundary, his fans in the stadium got highly emotional and many of them were seen shredding happy tears. A fangirl caught the attention of cameraman after she started crying as Dhoni hit the winning boundary. While cricket fans around the world felt the same emotion as the young fan at the stadium, it was Dhoni’s heartwarming gesture towards them, that made people fall in love with the wicketkeeper-batsman even more.
After the match the skipper gifted a autographed ball to the emotional young girl to make their evening even more memorable. Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni, who was also present inside the stadium to cheer for CSK, also failed to control her emotions and the video of Sakshi getting emotional after CSK’s win went viral on social media. Sakshi was accompanied by her daughter Ziva, who also looked very happy after the historic win.

CSK will now wait for their opposition in the final of IPL 2021, with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to play Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Eliminator whereas DC will play the winner of the KKR-RCB tie.
