London: Rachin Ravindra, who haven’t played a single international match, has been included for the 20-man squad of New Zealand team for the World Test Championship final against India next month and the 5-match Test series against England.
The 21-year-old, who has played first-class cricket in Wellington Regional since he was 18. In the past few years Ravindra has been playing domestic tournaments as part of off-season tours in India. According to reports, Ravi Krishnamurti the father of Ravindra who is a software engineer by profession and the founder Hunt Hawks Club in New Zealand. Hunt Hawks, is the club that brings players to India every summer with Kiwi youngsters. International star cricketers such as Tom Blandell and Jimmy Neesham were also a part of such tour and played in India before.
New Zealand will face the No. 1 Test side India in the World Test Championship (WTC) final at the Ageas Bowl, Southampton between June 18 and 22, followed by the Tests against England from August 4.
