New Delhi: The exclusion of Mumbai Indians (MI) batsman Surya Kumar Yadav from any of India’s sides to tour Australia has created quite some noise in public. The right-hander has been one of the consistent batsmen in the domestic circuit for the past few years and his unbeaten half-century against Royal Challengers Bangalore proved quite a statement.
His innings of 79 runs off just 43 balls including 10 fours and three sixes impressed everyone and won him the Man of the Match award. Yadav made his debut in the cash-rich League in 2012. Yadav is Mumbai’s top scorer since 2018 ahead of the likes of Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya with 1,298 runs to his name in 42 matches.
