London: Tottenham Hotspur had disposed head coach, Nuno Espirito Santo of his duties, on Monday, November 1. The club announced the departure of the boss via their official website.

” The Club can today announce that Nuno Espírito Santo and his coaching staff Ian Cathro, Rui Barbosa and Antonio Dias have been relieved of their duties.”
Nuno Espirito Santo succeeded Jose Mourinho at the North London club, but has failed to make any impact since the start of the season registering only five wins out of 10 currently sitting at the eighth position with 15 points. Although being at the brink of being sacked for a long time, the 3-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester United acted as a catalyst.

Fabio Paratici, Managing Director Football, said: “I know how much Nuno and his coaching staff wanted to succeed and I regret that we have had to take this decision.

“Nuno is a true gentleman and will always be welcome here. We should like to thank him and his coaching staff and wish them well for the future.”

However according to several reports, Manchester United linked former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has emerged as the potential candidate to replace Nuno.
