New Delhi: Delhi Capital (DC) skipper Shreyas Iyer said he is hoping for better results this time and he is looking forward to the upcoming season as one of his ‘most important assignments’. For the first time in seven years, Delhi qualified for the play-offs in 2019.

Recently in a video posted by Delhi Capitals, Iyer said, “Extremely excited to get back on the field and I am sure the rest of the players are feeling the same. Last few months we have been in quarantine and I have done shadow practice here and there but coming on the ground will be a completely different feeling.”

“This IPL will certainly be very different from the last season, as a captain this IPL would be one the most important assignments for me, the setting is very different and this tournament would be very different in every step, I think the key would be to take it one day at a time,” he added.

“It’s going to be a different IPL no doubt. And we will be without our fans in the stadium. But I think, that only makes us extra motivated to do this for them, the fans,” he further added. The 13th edition of the  IPL will take place in the UAE between September 19 to November 10.
