Dubai: England continued their unbeaten run in the ICC World T20 after registering a 8-wicket victory over Australia in Super 12,Group 1 in Dubai on Saturday. The Englishmen packed the Aussies home for a mere 125 before chasing it down in the 12th over powering through Jos Butler’s swashbuckling 32 ball 71.

Australia despite registering two back-to-back victory was unable to withstand the formidable bowling of England. Skipper Aaron Finch was the only who showed a bit resilience while last match’s star David Warner, Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell all went home inside the powerplay overs. Mathew Wade(18) and Ashton agar(20) were only two batters to support their skipper at the crease.

All of the English bowlers bowled superbly although Tymal Mills despite getting a couple wickets proved to be quite expensive. Chris Jordan(3/17) topped the charts alongside Chris Woakes(2/23) with Liam Livingstone(1/15) also bowling a tight spell.

In reply, it was all about the Jos Butler show with England wicket-keeper batsman clobbering the Aussie bowlers with ease. Jason Roy(22) also contributed well pairing with Butler to add a 66 run opening stand which was enough to end the competitiveness of the game. Jonny Bairstow(16) also added a late flourish to help England seal the deal.
