Kolkata : East Bengal defeated Mohun Bagan AC by 98 runs at 22 Yards Sports School Ground, Kolkata in high octane Cricket derby in CAB First Division One Day Tournament 2026.
East Bengal Batting first posted mammoth 311/7 in 45 overs. Veteran Sudip Gharami smashed an amazing 139* (106) that helped to boost the run. Agniv Pan also supported the innings well with his 53(48). For Mohun Bagan, Rajkumar Pal bowled brilliantly for his 3/35 along with Jesal Karia who finished with 2/62.
Chasing 312 runs, Mohun Bagan came under pressure. Despite heroic fight from veteran Abhimanyu Easwaran (63) and Jesal Karia (56), the Mariners got bundled at 213 runs handing massive 98 runs victory to arch rivals East Bengal. For the Red and Yellow brigade, Sourav Halder bowled outstanding spell of 4/31 in 9 overs, whereas, Suraj Jaiswal picked 2 wickets and conceded 30 runs in 5.4 overs.
