Kolkata: Shree Cement Limited, one of India’s top three cement manufacturers has announced that it will provide Olympic winners with free cement to assist them in building their dream homes as it celebrates India’s Olympic medalists in Tokyo in 2021.
“India’s athletes are competing at the highest level of sporting prowess and doing us proud. As both an Indian and a sports enthusiast, I feel that it is important to give back a little something for all the hard work put in by them to make our country proud” said Mr. H.M. Bangur Managing Director, Shree Cement Ltd.
So far, India’s medal count at the Tokyo Olympics 2021 has remained at two. Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu (49kg) has bagged silver, while badminton shuttler P V Sindhu became the second Indian and the country’s first female athlete to win two Olympic medals.
Shree Cement had increased its commitment to sports by honouring those who have done our country proud and wishing all participants the best through this initiative.
