Southampton: Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah took some time off ahead of WTC Final and sat with his wife Sanjana Ganesan, an anchor by profession for a fun interview.
In the interview for International Cricket Council (ICC), Bumrah recalled some of his Instagram memories with his wife Sanjana Ganesan. The ICC shared a 6 minutes clip on their social where the Indian fast bowler was shown some of his Instagram pictures and was asked to reveal the story behind them.
During the fun interview Bumrah was shown pictures from his childhood to his picture with the Border Gavaskar Trophy, the 27-year-old recalled many memories. He also opened up about the Test Series victory in Australia after India defeated Australia in the Brisbane Test to win the 4-game series 2-1.
“This picture was taken after the 4th test, I didn’t play in this match. All the youngsters stepped up, it was a memorable victory, many happy days. We won the series in Australia, it was was the second straight win in the series, so yeah, it was a day to remember, ”he said
The talismanic fast bowler was also shown one of his shirtless pictures, where he can be seen flaunting his toned body and abs. The star bowler then recalled the picture and said, “This is a picture where I was working hard on my body and the fitness transformation was going on. I used to tell everyone that I was a chubby kid. So after that, coming into international cricket, I realized I had to get fitter. So, it was just trying to show it off a little bit I guess.”

During the fun interview, Sanjana also shows Jasprit Bumrah their wedding picture. In response, the Indian cricketer funnily asks “who the person alongside him.” He also go on adding that he feels he has seen her somewhere before as Sanjana bursts into laughter. Bumrah further said that “it was the best and the happiest day of his life which just happened recently.”
Sanjana then asked Bumrah about the picture where the couple is seen taking seven vows of marriage, speaking about the same Bumrah said that the photo looks good, the decoration is nice and also jokingly said that the person walking in the front him is also very nice. He also revealed that the adorable caption of their wedding posts was written by his better half Sanjana.
For the unversed, Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan had tied the knot on 15th of March in Goa. India and New Zealand are gearing up to lock horns in the much-awaited ICC World Test Championship final, which starting on June 18 at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. The 27-year-old is expected to play a key role for India in the final.
