Sachin Tendulkar picks his all-time best playing XI, no spot for MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli

New Delhi: Legendary Sachin Tendulkar, who is considered as one of the greatest to have played the Gentleman’s Game and his records speak for themselves. Tendulkar has scored 15,921 runs in ODIs and 18,426 runs in Tests during his international career. Including all the formats, Sachin has a total of 100 international centuries and 201 wickets to his name.

Although the great player hung up his boots in 2013, his innings are still fresh in the minds of fans irrespective of the era they were played in.

Recently, the Master Blaster picked up his all-time best Playing-XI in a list of some of the most celebrated cricketers which caught many off guards. Tendulkar picked some of the biggest names in the cricket world in his playing XI, however, he missed out on many big names too. In fact, the Master Blaster didn’t pick himself in his all-time best XI.

This is not the first time that Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has released a list of his best playing XI. This time Tendulkar choose his opening pair as Virender Sehwag along with Sunil Gavaskar. West Indies legend Brian Lara was his 3rd pick along with Viv Richards, Jacques Kallis, and Sourav Ganguly for the middle-order of his playing XI.

Australia’s record-breaking wicket-keeper and aggressive batsman, Adam Gilchrist was picked as the wicket-keeper in Sachin Tendulkar’s all-time playing XI. For bowlers, Sachin Tendulkar picked some of the best names in the business including the likes of Harbhajan Singh, Shane Warne, Wasim Akram, and Glenn McGrath to fill the reaming spots to form an impressive pace attack.

However, what took everyone by surprise was that some of the biggest names in the cricket world were missing from the all-time playing XI of Sachin. The likes of MS Dhoni, who is hailed as the greatest captain to have led the Indian cricket team, the modern day legend Virat Kohli, the wall of Indian cricket team- Rahul Dravid, and many more were missing from the all-time playing XI of Sachin.
