Kolkata : Indian Club Odisha FC have officially bid farewell to one of their greatest player – Roy Krishna. They announced his departure via social media post on June 4, 2025.

The Fijian joined Odisha in 2023-24 season completing his brief stint at Bengaluru FC. His form improved as he finished the season with 13 goals and 3 assists.

Krishna remained pivotal in guiding the Juggernauts to 4th place finish in ISL 2023-24 and reach semi finals.

Again in Kalinga Super Cup, he played key role in guiding Odisha to final where they lost to Bengal giants East Bengal. As a result, Odisha earned their first ever AFC Cup campaign, where they progressed to the knockout stage.

However, Krishna’s 2024-25 season was contradictory as it was marked by dip in form and injury. He only made 9 appearances for Odisha and scored 3 goals.

Unfortunately, he sustained a ligament injury during ISL 2024-25 match against Hyderabad FC in November, that forced him to be ruled out for rest of the season.

Overall, in 2 season for the Juggernauts, Krishna scored 18 goals and 6 assists in 46 matches. His legacy has no bounds.

Roy Krishna, a legend whose footsteps will forever echo through the stands of Kalinga. Your journey with us has been nothing short of inspiring. Through every goal, every battle, and every roar from the fans, you gave us moments we’ll never forget”.

Even when injuries tried to hold you back, your commitment never wavered. You showed up early, focused, and full of heart in every training session. That quiet discipline, that warrior spirit, inspired everyone around you and truly embodies what it means to be a Kalinga Warrior”, Odisha FC said in a statement announcing Roy Krishna’s departure.
