Royal Challengers Bangalore pacer Harshal Patel has left the IPL 2022 bio-bubble following the death of a family member. Harshal left the bubble after learning of a family tragedy just after the game against Mumbai Indians, according to PTI. Harshal has been RCB’s standout player in recent seasons, taking two wickets in the team’s seven-wicket triumph against MI on Saturday night.

“Unfortunately, Harshal had to leave the bio-bubble due to a death in his family. It was his sister. He did not take the team bus back to Mumbai from Pune,” said an IPL source.

“He will be rejoining the bubble before the next game against CSK on April 12.”

Following making his debut last year, the 31-year-old appeared in eight T20Is.

RCB are to face Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday.
