Kolkata : Bengal’s Sudip Chatterjee (98 off 264) showed grit and determination before falling just two short of a well-deserved century while Sumanta Gupta remained unbeaten on 82 at stumps on Day 2 against Uttarakhand in their Ranji Trophy Elite match at the Eden Gardens on Thursday.
Bengal were 274/6 in 92.5 overs at the end of second day’s play, with a lead of 61 runs.
Devendra Bora (4-65) was the pick of the Uttarakhand bowlers.
Earlier, Uttarakhand were bundled out for 213 in their first innings.
