Kolkata : Kerala made a great comeback against Bengal at Jadavpur Campus, Kolkata , in Day 3 of Ranji Trophy 2024-25. Jalaj Saxena (84) & Salman Nizar (64*) played vital knocks to pave way for the comeback.
Kerala started the Day with 51-4. Bengal pacer Ishan Porel continued his dream run picking 2 quick wickets for 83 runs, thereby, completing his 5-fer, removing skipper Sachin Baby (12) & Akash Chandran (31).
However, things began to turn in Kerala’s favour with 140 runs partnership between Jalaj Saxena (84) & Salman Nizar (64*).
Despite losing Saxena on 223 runs, Mohammed Azarudden’s (30*) arrival added more 44 runs partnership with Salman and Kerala ended the day with 267-7.
Both teams will now battle for the last day tomorrow.
