Kolkata : Mumbai’s star Batter Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of Mumbai’s next Ranji Trophy encounter with Tripura on November 26.
BCCI sources revealed that Iyer needs to rest atleast one week and therefore he won’t be able to participate in that game.
Iyer, who played 7 constant multi days game, himself revealed that he needs to give rest to his body regardless what people might think.
“No matter what people think outside, I’ve to listen to my body because I know the amount of threshold I’ve carried over the last few years and based on that I’ll be taking the right decision and I hope that my team will also back me”, Iyer said recently after scoring ton against Maharashtra.
MCA also confirmed that Iyer won’t travel to Agartala with rest of the team for the clash against Tripura.
Iyer , who last represented Indian Test side back in February eyes for a National comeback. India will play Australia in Border Gavaskar Series in November , the squad is yet to be announced & Iyer eyes for a comeback.
“Obviously I was feeling a bit down with my injuries, but now getting a century after a very long time, it’s a great feeling overall. I am absolutely keen for a comeback, but, yeah, as we say, control the controllables,” he added after scoring century against Maharashtra.
