Bengaluru : Karnataka displayed great all round comebacks with Bat & Bowl to avoid Bengal an upper hand on Day 2 of Ranji Trophy 2024-25 at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.
Bengal, started the day with 249-5 , hoping for big score. However, Karnataka with Vasuki Koushik (5/38), Shreyas Gopal (3/87) & Abhilash Shetty (2/62) made way for Karnataka’s comeback.
As a result of which Bengal collapsed from 249-5 to 301.
With the Ball, Bengal started to dominate Karnataka and took 5 quick wickets for 97 runs. Bengal pacers with likes of Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal (2/53), Rishav Vivek (2/44), Ishan Porel (1/38) wrecked havoc on Karnataka’s top order.
However, Karnataka made comeback yet again, with the duo of Abhinav Manohar (50*) & Shreyas Gopal (23*) forming a 58 runs partnership, ending the day on 155-5.
