Bengaluru : Bengal’s all-round brilliance gave them upper hand against Karnataka on Day 3 of Ranji Trophy 2024-25 clash at Chinnaswamy, Bengaluru.
Karnataka started the day on 155-5 with Abhinav Manohar (55) & Shreyas Gopal (28) on crease.
Bengal rattled Karnataka’s middle order soon, not letting them to build any big partnerships. The Bengal pacer duo of Ishan Porel (4/55) & Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal (3/64) bundled up Karnataka on 221.
Lower order Batter Vidyadhar Patil (33) showed great resistance but didn’t get any support from other end.
Coming to Bat, Shuvam Dey (30), Sudip Chatterjee (48) notched a 69 runs opening partnership.
Bengal saw a mini collapse as they lost 3 quick wickets of Shuvam, Sudip and skipper Anustup Majumdar (5), on 106 runs.
However, Sudip Gharami (25*) & Shahbaz Ahmed (12*) ended they day for Bengal on high note on 127-3 & 207 runs lead, with 21* runs partnership.
