Paris: Aminata Diallo, Paris Saint-Germain’s women footballer was detained by police as she was accused of being involved in a vicious street assault on her teammate and fellow French national player Kheira Hamraoui.
It was reported that Diallo offered a ride to Hamraoui while coming home from a team dinner. As both the women lived in Chatou, the car ride made sense. However, a horrific incident took place here. As the car approached the former Barcelona Femeni’s house, two masked men attacked the car and dragged Hamraoui out of the passenger seat.
As per media reports, the men repeatedly beat Hamraoui on her legs with a metal bar, this continued for several minutes. After this, the men ran away whereas Diallo was reportedly unharmed. She was detained the next morning after being linked to the attacks.

Although Diallo pleaded innocence, she denied any involvement with the case. Following the incident, her lawyers released a statement,” [We denounce the] totally artificial suggestion of a rivalry between her and Mrs. Kheira Hamraoui that would explain why she would target her team-mate. This theory does not reflect at all the reality of their relationship.”
“[We also condemn the] media speculation which has already condemned her, without justification, and she will not hesitate to launch legal action if necessary against any defamation.”
