Paris Saint-Germain have advanced to the UEFA Champions League final for the second time in their history, clinching a 2-1 win over Arsenal in the second leg of the semi-final at the Parc des Princes. With this result, PSG secured a 3-1 aggregate victory over the Premier League side.

The hosts started strong, with Gianluigi Donnarumma pulling off two excellent saves early in the game to keep Arsenal at bay. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia came close to scoring a stunning goal in the 17th minute but missed a golden opportunity. PSG finally broke the deadlock in the 27th minute when Fabián Ruiz found the back of the net, giving his side a 1-0 lead at halftime.

In the second half, Donnarumma continued his fine form with more brilliant saves. A key moment came when Achraf Hakimi’s shot struck the outstretched arm of Arsenal’s Lewis-Skelly inside the box. After a VAR review, the referee awarded PSG a penalty, but David Raya denied Vitinha’s attempt from the spot, keeping Arsenal’s hopes alive.

However, those hopes were dented just minutes later. In the 72nd minute, Hakimi doubled PSG’s lead with a composed finish, assisted by Ousmane Dembélé, who had been on the pitch for just four minutes. Arsenal responded swiftly, as Bukayo Saka pulled one back in the 76th minute, but it wasn’t enough.

The match ended 2-1 in PSG’s favour on the night, sealing a 3-1 aggregate win and sending them through to the final. Achraf Hakimi was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.

After the match, PSG manager Luis Enrique took a subtle jab at critics with a sarcastic remark: “Beating all four Premier League teams? Well… the league of farmers, you know? We are the league of farmers.” On the other hand, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta voiced his frustration, claiming that “the best team lost.”
