Melbourne: While Indian cricketers Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Navdeep Saini, and Prithvi Shaw are said to have breached Cricket Australia’s bio-secure protocols while they went to restaurant to have dinner in Melbourne.
The 5 cricketers have been put in isolation as a precautionary measure after breaching Cricket Australia’s bio-security protocols. Rohit along with other players – found themselves in the middle of the recent ‘beef controversy’ where the bill of a restaurant, the cricketers visited, had beef in its list of ordered food items.
Well, the trouble began after Navaldeep Singh(the fan), a fan spotted these 5 cricketers in a restaurant in Melbourne, was at the restaurant at the same time. He was so overwhelmed and excited after spotting his favorite cricketers that he paid their bill worth AUD 118.69 (INR 6683).
The cricketers were slammed for not following bio-secure rules and for their choice of food.
However, Rohit faced the most wrath among others. Fans are extremely disappointed about the fact that, Rohit who is an animal lover, consumed beef. A few fans even shared an old post of the cricketer where he wished his followers Holi, where he not only wished his fans but also animals.
Taking a dig at Sharma netizens called him a “hypocrite” for being vocal about animal rights and then conveniently “consuming” beef at an Australian restaurant.

So, this bunch ate beef indeed. That’s why the guy smartly hid the portion of the bill which had the mention of beef, but forgot to conceal it on Instagram.
WOW… SHAME ON YOU @ImRo45, @RishabhPant17, @RealShubmanGill!!!

However, few fans came out in support for the cricketer, and began trending #IStandWithRohit on Twitter. While some fans was saying that Rohit is a vegetarian by choice, there’s literally no reason to defend Rohit Sharma by saying he is a vegetarian cause even if he did eat meat it’s really none of anyone’s business, wrote another user.
He does 14 days quarantine, not staying with family, missed his daughters 2nd bday …All he did bcz to represent the country and make India win
There is no need fr him to cement his place and experience such hardships just for 2 test matches
