The name of the accused is Ramnagesh Alibathini and he has been arrested from Hyderabad. The 23-year-old has been arrested by the Cyber ​​Cell Police of Mumbai. Accused Ramnagesh is a software engineer and he used to make software for food delivery app earlier.

Earliest, The Delhi Commission for Women had taken cognizance of Kohli’s daughter receiving rape threats on Twitter. A notice was sent to the police by the Delhi Commission for Women. Delhi Commission for Women chairperson Swati Maliwal termed the incident as “very shameful” which, it said, deserves “immediate attention.” Maliwal has demanded the arrest of the accused.

“It is learnt that he is being also attacked since he spoke against the incessant trolling of his teammate Mohammad Shami who was targeted for his religion by online trolls. DCW has issued a notice to police over a threat made on Twitter to rape Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s daughter. Our chairperson Swati Maliwal has called this ‘shameful,’ and called for immediate arrest of the accused,” the commission posted on Twitter, sharing an image of its letter addressed to the cyber-crime branch of the Delhi.
