Johannesburg : MI Cape Town scripted history at Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg, defeating Sunrisers Eastern Cape by 76 Runs to win their maiden SA20 title. They broke streak of 2 times champion Eastern Cape.

The Rashid Khan-led MI Batting first saw Ryan Rickelton (33) & Rassie van der Dussen (23) starting off with 51 runs opening stand in 5 overs.
