Manchester : Dean Henderson who came through the ranks of Manchester United Academy and signed his first professional with Manchester United in 2015, and extended it further till 2022. Henderson is reportedly linked to Newcastle United, and former Manchester United player Mark Bosnich has encouraged him for the move.

Following the  £305m takeover of Newcastle United, the next transfer window is going to be a huge one for the club as they would look to build the team with players they have targeted. Henderson has been one of them, and the scarcity of playing time at Manchester United can be a yardstick for the move.

“I think he should go. He’s at the stage of his career where he needs to be playing regular football. He’ll know that, as well. I understand that at the start of the season, him having a go in pre-season to see how things pan out,” said Bosnich to the media.

“De Gea has been excellent and there’s no doubt about it, with the exception of the second goal, you have to say, against Manchester City, which I think he’ll know that he should have saved. But I think from Dean Henderson’s point of view, he needs to start looking after Dean Henderson.”

The 24 year old had just made one appearance for Manchester so far during this ongoing season, which came against West Ham in Carabao Cup in September. He was looking to being the first choice keeper for United untill Covid 19 struck and David de Gea cemented his place in the team.

Bosnich also added, “Newcastle are a club who are on the go and on the move – but they are also in a perilous position right now.New manager. It’s important to get your spin right and the goalkeeper is an integral part of that. He should go and should go as soon as he possibly can.”
