Lucknow : Lucknow Super Giants defeated Mumbai Indians by 12 Runs at Ekana Stadium, Lucknow.

Batting first, LSG opners Mitchell Marsh (60), Aiden Markram (53) scored vital knocks.

The middle order saw fumble, however, Markram made crucial partnership of 51 runs with Ayush Badoni (30). David Miller (27) also played good cameo at end as LSG finished on 203-8 (20).

MI skipper Hardik Pandya picked 5-fer.

Chasing 204 runs, MI lost Will Jacks and Ryan Rickelton for 17 runs. However, Naman Dhir (46) & Surya Kumar Yadav (67) brought momentum for MI with 69 runs partnership.

After Naman’s Surya kept MI hopes alive but eventually got dismissed on 152 runs in 16.1 overs, MI still needing 52 runs to win.

MI innings slowed down with Pandya (28*) and Tilak Varma (25*) at crease. The equation reached to 39 runs required off the last 2 overs, with Shardul Thakur and Avesh Khan defending it as MI fell short by 12 runs.

Special credits and man of the match were given to youngster Digvesh Singh Rathi who with economical spell of 1/21 shifted momentum towards LSG.
