Kolkata : 2021 U-20 Long Jump World Championship Silver Shaili Singh eyeing Paris Olympics berth for India. The long jumper is targeting to participate in more competitions in Europe and abroad.
Shaili Singh is one of the shining athletes of India and consistently have been among the best long jumpers in India currently.
She is currently world no. 37 and if she achieves her qualification mark in the recent competition then she may be ranked below 30 and that it will the a direct entry for the Olympics.
Shaili’s mentor Anju Bobby George said, “All she needs are some minor technical adjustments. These things take time to become muscle memory but Shaili can certainly break my national record.”
Anju also added, “I would back her among the current crop to break my record. If she does it at the Olympics, that’ll be a wonderful story.”
