Goa: ATK Mohun Bagan head coach Juan Ferrando has an unbeaten record against SC East Bengal and will hope to extend it on Saturday as the two arch-rivals meet in an Indian Super League (ISL) match at the Fatorda stadium in Goa.
Meanwhile, SC East Bengal has faltered in the ISL. Last season, they were ranked eighth. The red and golds are now in last place in the 11-team league, with only nine points from 13 games. Under new coach Mario Rivera, they only have one win, which came against FC Goa.
Mario Rivera will aim to lead the Red and Golds to only their second win of the season, with the lowest side running out of games to save their season. In the meantime, the Mariners will try to make the most of their remaining games to revive their hopes of finishing in the top four.
The derby, though with seven points separating the teams, would be interesting in viewing.

Before the club parted ways with Antonio Lopez Habas, Bagan had only two losses till now. Since then, the club has drawn and won two games under Ferrando.
Sandesh Jhingan would start in the high-intensity clash as Tiri is set to make his 100th ISL appearance.
The return of Antonio Perosevic is highly favorable for Rivera’s men. Marcelo Ribeiro also came off the bench in Monday’s encounter against Hyderabad, which ended in a 4-0 loss.
With only 9 points after 13 games, the East Bengals have only a slim chance of making the playoffs. However, when it comes to their arch-rivals, pride will be on the rule of the day.
