Kolkata : Real Madrid defeated Atlanta 2-0 in UEFA Super Cup final with goals of Fede Valverde (59′), Kylian Mbappe (68′) on August 14 in Warsaw.
The Italian Europa League winners Atlanta had upper hands in the 1st half, although they didn’t score a goal.
In 2nd half, Fede Valverde broke the shackles in the 59th minute with close ranged short to the net to give 1-0 lead to Madrid.
The debutant Kylian Mbappe, joining Madrid after years of speculations opened his account in 68th minute with help of Jude Bellingham’s assist & assuring a 2-0 win for Real Madrid.
This is the 6th Super Cup of Real Madrid & 14th title for Manager Carlo Ancelotti. Luka Modric became most decorated Real Madrid player with 27 trophies.
