The first post from the hacked handle was shared at 7:31 am this morning, which was a retweet thanking the Baroda cricketer for following an account named ‘@suppliers’.
Few minutes later, he thanked a user. The hacker has made nearly 10 tweets from Krunal’s Twitter handle so far. The hacker reportedly wrote some nasty comments on a few users profile on the social media platform. Later on, all the tweets were deleted. Take a look at all the tweets below:

The 30-year-old is the latest public figure in the growing list of Twitter accounts being hacked by anonymous bitcoin scammers. In 2020 alone over 100 verified twitter accounts were hacked to promote such scams, including the official handle of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. There are a number of cricketers whose accounts have been hacked in the past couple of years. In 2019, former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson’s Twitter and Instagram accounts got hacked. In October 2021, former India wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel’s Instagram account got hacked.

Krunal Pandya was last seen on a cricket field during the Vijay Hazare Trophy that concluded in December last year.  He scored 118 runs in the tournament and scalped 7 wickets as well. Krunal will next be seen in action in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. The 30-year-old’s long association with Mumbai Indians (MI) ended after the franchise released him on the retention day.
