France : Didier Deschamps named Karim Benzema in the squad of France for Euro 2020. He is recalled for the national duties after 6 years, as he last played against Armenia in 2015 scoring a brace.

The French striker has been a talisman for an otherwise injury struck Real Madrid. He scored a total 29 goals across all competitions, leading Real Madrid to the semi finals of UEFA Champions League and staying in the run for La Liga.

France is placed in Group F alongside Germany, Hungary and Portugal, the group often now referred to as the “Group of Death”. The current World Champions would look to go all out and bag this trophy too and battling this group would be an uphill task.

The 33 year old striker has 27 goals for his country , and this possesses an very important opportunity for him to make his place permanent in the national side, and in light of his recent performances it looks like a job he can handle well if given his chances.
