Turin: Youngster Gianluca Frabotta netted first goal helping Juventus beat Spal 4-0 at the Allianz Stadium to ease through to the Copa Italia semi-final in Turin on Wednesday(January 27). Alvaro Morata, Dejan Kulusevski and Federico also netted for the Bianconeri.

Andrea Pirlo made changes to his playing XI handing opportunities  to a few youngsters while Matthijs de Ligt made his first start since contracting COVID-19 along with veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon who found his way in the starting line day before his 43rd birthday.

Juventus were dominating the game from the kick-off looking to putting their foot on the pedal.

The home side opened the scoring through Alvaro Morata converting his penalty-kick after Andrea Rabiot was taken down in the box by SPAL’s Francesco Vicari before extending the lead through Frabotta who scored his maiden goal for the club with a long range just outside the box which SPAL goalie Berisha had no answer for.

The Visitors tried hard in the second-half but were unable to cope with the quality of a rather 2nd choice squad of the Bianconeri.

Kulsevski netted the third of a fine assist from Federico Chiesa and Juventus made it to the semi-final against Inter Milan.
