London: Celebrated football manager Jose Mourinho has hailed French forward Kylian Mbappe as the next best after the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Truly, the top two spots have been held by Ronaldo and Messi in the last decade. However, the third spot has been changing hands with no consistent occupier.

Talking to Sun, Mourinho, recently spoke highly about PSG star Mbappe calling him one of the best besides Ronaldo and Messi. The Frenchman has stunned the world with his performances and Mourinho thinks it is impossible to lose a match with Mbappe at the helm.

“When you have Kylian Mbappe on your side it is very difficult not to win. He is one of these players that wins matches and scares opponents. Mbappe goes with everything to try to prove to everyone that after Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, he is the next best,” Mourinho said.

The newly-appointed AS Roma manager has also termed France as the favourites to win the EURO 2021. “Didier Deschamps knows what he wants. They are the World Champions. They are the last runner-ups in the EUROs. I think less than reaching the final, for them is nothing,” he added.

While Messi has set his sights on Copa America, Ronaldo and Mbappe will fight it out at the EURO 2021. France and Portugal have also been drawn in the same group, alongside Germany and Hungary.
