Dubai: Kings XI Punjab fielding coach Jonty Rhodes has expressed his thoughts about missing former Indian batsman, Suresh Raina, in this years’ Indian Premier League (IPL).  Earlier last month Raina has pulled out from the tournament due to personal reasons.

Former South African batsman Rhodes tweeted about Raina when a fan asked about him. “Of course I miss Suresh Raina. IPL not the same without Mr IPL. Don’t get me wrong, no player is bigger than the game, and IPL continues giving young Indian stars the opportunity to display their talents; but yes, I miss watching him play,” he wrote.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Raina have been always together since the beginning of IPL in 2008. He is the leading run-scorer for CSK and second-highest run-scorer of IPL, just after Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli with 5368 runs. People from all over the world call Raina as ‘Mr. IPL.’

Throughout the years, Raina was the most important batsman in the CSK. He was also the vice-captain of the team. Veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh too pulled out of this year’s IPL due to personal reasons. Without them, the team is falling apart. Not just the fans, management but legends from the opposite camp and team is also missing him as well. CSK has already lost two of the three games in the tournament so far. They will be again seen in action on October 2 in Dubai, against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
