New Delhi: Indian right-arm pacer Jasprit Bumrah is the first Asian bowler to take a five-wicket haul in Tests in South Africa, England and Australia. Since making his debut in ODIs and T20Is in the 2015-16 series against Australia, he is also the third-highest wicket-taker in Test matches in a debut year with 48 wickets in eight matches.

The pacer came across one video on Wednesday (August 12) where a child was spotted on the roadside copying right-handed batsman action, the video soon went viral on social media. Amazed by the skills of the youngster, Bumrah asked the ‘little one’ to continue working and practicing as his future looked bright. “The future looks bright, little one! Keep at it,” he tweeted.

Bumrah has an unusual bowling action with an ability to bowl yorkers at the death. He has an anomalous, sling-arm action and coupled with natural pace, and a strange release point, his deliveries make it strong for the batsman to pick up early. He also has a Test hat-trick against the West Indies.

Bumrah will be again seen in action for Mumbai Indians in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) which will be played in the UAE from September 19. He has played 77 IPL matches all for MI in which he has taken 82 wickets with an average of 26.59 and an economy of 7.55.
