Goa: Kerala Blasters (KBFC) will take on ATK Mohun Bagan (ATKMB) in the opening match of the 2020-21 Indian Super League (ISL) season at the GMC Stadium in Goa on Friday(November 20).Both the sides share a history of intense since the inception of the league back in 2014 both the regions following the game very passionately.
Kerala Blaster will start their seventh campaign under coach Kivu Vicuna while newly formed ATK Mohun Bagan (formerly known as ATK) will start in a fresh new avatar having merged with the Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan with coach Coach Antonio Lopez Habas looking to replicate his prowess of the last season. Both teams will be eager to begin their respective campaigns on a positive note and build momentum for what will be a challenging Season.

ATKMB have a strong defensive unit with Sandesh Jinghan, who will be playing against his old side with Tiri at the heart of defence with their two talismen David Williams and Roy Krishna playing a vital role. On the other hand, Kerala has lot of Indian options in midfield such as Jeakson Singh, Prasanth Karuthadathkuni, Sahal Abdul Samad and Seityasen Singh and Nongdamba Naorem. ATK have obvious advantage in head to head numbers with six wins out of total twelve while Kerala won just four.
