Is Arjun Tendulkar joining Mumbai Indians for IPL 2020?

Dubai: If cricket is a religion in India and Sachin Tendulkar was long ago declared as its God. It’s been all most seven years since the legendary batsman retired from international cricket but news regarding him and his family stills get viral in social media in no time.

Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary Sachin, has now sparked a rumour after he was spotted with the Mumbai Indians players in UAE. Recently a picture of the youngster chilling with MI players including Trent Boult and James Pattinson in a swimming pool went viral on social media. 

The snap created so much furore leaving fans curious whether Arjun will join the Mumbai Indians squad. According to reports, the all-rounder has travelled with the MI squad to the UAE as a bet bowler. Notably, IPL franchises are travelling with their own set of net bowlers because of the strict coronavirus protocols in the UAE.

This is not the first time that the youngster has travelled with the MI team, but the franchise has not signed him yet. The seamer will be bowling to MI batsmen in the nets in the UAE.

Arjun made his India U-19 debut against Sri Lanka in 2018. He is still trying his luck to break into the Mumbai Ranji team. This year IPL is slated to start from September 19 in UAE. While defending champion Mumbai Indians will start their campaign against MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings next week.
