Chennai: Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan recently celebrated his 36th birthday on Tuesday (October 27). On his birthday, director Ajay Gnanamuthu shared a glimpse of the cricketer’s look from his upcoming Tamil film Cobra.
Irfan is all set to make his acting debut in Kollywood with Chiyaan Vikram’s Cobra. Earlier, director Ajay Gnanamuthu revealed that Irfan will play a stylish villain opposite Vikram in the film.

The poster looks intense as Irfan is dressed in a black suit and stylish. The poster also said the name of the character he is playing in ‘Cobra’ is Aslan Yilmaz, an officer of French Interpol. Produced by 7 Screen Studio in association with Viacom 18 Studios, the project went on the floors in August 2019 and the makers are hoping to release it in 2021.
“This film will be a pan-Indian project catering to the Tamil, Hindi and Telugu audience. It will be produced on a massive scale in association with Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The cast and technicians will have big names of all industries collaborating for this film,” read a statement from the makers.
