Mumbai: In a dramatic match of IPL 2022, at Wankhede Stadium, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Mumbai Indians by 3 runs to keep their playoff chances alive on Tuesday.

Mumbai Indians battled valiantly to reach a gigantic goal of 194 runs, with Rohit Sharma (48), Tim David (48), and Ishan Kishan (43) all contributing crucial runs, but they were only 3 runs short.

Meanwhile Umran Malik was sensational with the ball as he claimed three wickets. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was frugal with his bowling once again, putting pressure on the Mumbai Indians, who suffered another mini-collapse after the 10th over.

Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 193/6 in 20 overs against Mumbai Indians, owing to Rahul Tripathi’s 76 off 44. SRH batted first and recovered from an early setback, with Priyam Garg and Tripathi leading the way. Garg had 42 points on 26 shots, while Nicholas Pooran had 38 off 22. Ramandeep Singh, on the other hand, claimed two wickets in one over and finished with 3/20 from three overs to lead MI to a solid finish. At one point, SRH appeared to be on track for a 200-plus total, but they only scored 29 runs in the final four overs while losing four wickets.

Upon winning the toss against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday, MI captain Rohit Sharma chose to bowl first. Both clubs made many changes to their starting lineups. MI XI has added Mayank Markande and Sanjay Yadav, while SRH has added Priyam Gard and Fazalhaq Farooqi.
