Mumbai: The new IPL 2022 team, Lucknow Super Giants, will battle the IPL 2021 reigning champions, Chennai Super Kings, in the 7th Match of IPL 2022 on Thursday, March 31st at Brabourne, CCI at 7:30 PM.

Both the team had started their campaign on the wrong foot this season. Gujarat Titans defeated the Lucknow Super Giants in their season opener. The Chennai Super Kings were also defeated in their season opener by the Kolkata Knight Riders.

CSK batted first in the CSK vs KKR match, amassing a score of 131-5. At the start, CSK lost a couple of fast wickets. MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja managed the team’s batting after reaching 61-5.

Jadeja and Dhoni contributed 26 and 50 runs, respectively, to the team’s final score of 131-5. Later, KKR was able to easily pursue the objective. Ajinkya Rahane scored 44 runs for the side, while other batters chipped in with a few runs as well.

Lucknow Super Giants batted first in the LSG against GT match, scoring 158-6. The top-order batters were unable to score many runs. Later in the innings, middle-order batsman Deepak Hooda (55) and Ayush Badoni (54) both scored half-centuries to help the side reach 158-6.
Gujarat Titans eventually reached the mark with 5 wickets in hand. Hardik Pandya scored 33 runs, and David Miller drove in 30. Rahul Tewatia smashed a match-winning 40-run knock to secure the team’s triumph.

However, it is still early in the tournaments, and a loss in the season opener will allow both teams to fine-tune their performance. We anticipate seeing a head-to-head duel this evening.
