Mumbai: Delhi Capitals (DC) are back to winning ways, registering a victory against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Delhi Capitals beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 4 wickets in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Kuldeep Yadav starred the match with a four-wicket haul against former team Kolkata Knight Riders.

Aaron Finch, Harshith Rana and Baba Indrajith came in the playing eleven for Kolkata Knight Riders. Chetan Sakariya came up with the success for Delhi Capitals in the second over. Aaron Finch got dropped just to be bowled on the very next delivery.

Axar Patel’s bowling caught Venkatesh Iyer leaving Kolkata Knight Riders were 29-2 at the end of the powerplay. Kuldeep Yadav came into action to claim the wickets of Baba Indrajith and Sunil Narine on consecutive deliveries in the 9th over.

Nitish Rana joined Shreyas Iyer as KKR were 56-4 at the half-way mark. Shreyas Iyer tried to lower the pressure, hitting two fours meanwhile Rana smacked the first six of the innings in the next over. Man of the match, Kuldeep Yadav held the momentum to scalp wickets of Shreyas Iyer and Andre Russell in the same over to pick his four-wicket haul.

Nitish Rana hit three fours and as many sixes to pull Kolkata Knight Riders at 128-6 after 18 overs. Nitish Rana reached his fifty as Rinku Singh, creamed three fours to stitch a fifty partnership. Mustafizur Rahman scalped three wickets in the final over to restrict Kolkata Knight Riders to 146-9 in the first innings.

Delhi Capitals lost Prithvi Shaw’s wicket on the first ball of the innings off to Umesh Yadav. Harshit Rana claimed his maiden IPL wicket to dismiss Mitchell Marsh. David Warner hit five fours, Lalit Yadav joined him as Delhi Capitals were 47/2 at the end of the powerplay.

David Warner and Lalit Yadav duo stitched a fifty partnership for the third wicket. Umesh Yadav took Kolkata Knight Riders back in the game with the wicket of Warner. KKR scalped two wickets in no time, dismissing Lalit Yadav and Delhi Capitals’ skipper Rishabh Pant.

Sunil Narine trapped Lalit Yadav by LBW while Rishab Pant got caught behind off Yadav’s bowling. Axar Patel hit a couple of fours and a six but was run-out for 24. Delhi Capitals required 34 off the final five overs. Rovman Powell whacked a four and six to bag in 14 runs in the 17th over. With only 4 runs required off the final two overs, Powell wrapped the chase with a maximum.
