Kolkata: “The second T20 match saw India forced to make a change. Shubman Gill had to sit out due to a throat injury. Sanju Samson replaced him, but couldn’t make the most of the opportunity in the first eleven.

Suryakumar Yadav’s team had already won the T20 series by winning the first two matches. This was the first test for Suryakumar Yadav as a full-time captain and coach Gambhir. TheGambhir-Suryakumar duo passed the test with flying colors. The Indian team’s stars performed exceptionally well with bat and ball in the first two matches. They aim to maintain the momentum in the third match.

In the second T20, India had to make a change. Shubman Gill had to sit out due to a sudden throat injury. Sanju Samson got the chance to play in the first eleven in his place. However, he got a golden duck in the first ball of the Thikshana over. It remains to be seen whether Gambhir will give Sanju another chance in the third match. Since India has already won the series, they can test their reserve bench players in the last match. Khaleel Ahmed, Mukesh Kumar, Shivam Dube, and Washington Sundar have not gotten a chance in the series yet. Shivam Dube can play as a pace bowling all-rounder in place of Hardik, while Washington Sundar can play as a spin bowling all-rounder in place of Axar Patel. Khaleel Ahmed can get a chance in place of Arshdeep Singh in the first eleven on Tuesday.

Rishabh Pant got the chance to play as a keeper-batsman in the first two matches. He is also in the ODI series squad. Considering workload management, Pant might be rested, and Sanju Samson could be seen as the keeper-batsman.

Shubman Gill is likely to return in the third match and open with Yashasvi. Sanju Samson might have to play in the middle order. Yashasvi Jaiswal has again shown his class in the T20 series. He has completed 1000 runs in international T20s this year and has been on fire in the first two matches, giving India a strong start.

India’s probable first eleven: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson, Ryan Parag, Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Khaleel Ahmed, Mohammad Siraj”
