New Chandigarh : Manav Suthar’s heroic debut destroys Afghanistan on Day 3 of One – Off Test, as India emerged victorious by an innings and 300 runs at Mullanpur, New Chandigarh.
Earlier in first innings, KL Rahul (100) and Shubman Gill (126) smashed centuries. Rishabh Pant (81) and Washington Sundar (52*) also scored half centuries as India posted 564-8. Afghanistan’s Mohammad Saleem Safi graabed 6 wickets.
In response, Afghanistan could only manage 152. They got trapped in the spin web of debutant Manav Suthar, who picked 6 wickets. Prasidh Krishna took 3 scalps to enforce Follow On to Afghanistan.
Following On, Afghanistan yet again got bundled out on 112, with Washington Sundar (4/36) and Kuldeep Yadav (3/30) shared 7 wickets between each other. India eventually won the match by an innings and 300 runs. Manav Suthar was awarded Player of The Match.
