India vs Zimbabwe 3rd ODI : Shubman Gill’s ton helps India whitewash Zimbabwe 3-0

Kolkata : India faced Zimbabwe for the final ODI at Harare , where they ease past the fighting host by 13 runs.

Chasing 289, Zimbabwe lost wickets at regular intervals but an amazing fighting ton from Sikandar Raza put India under pressure during the death overs, bringing fight back in the match, with a 104 runs stand with Brad Evans .
The partnership of Brad Evans and Sikandar Raza was broken in 47th & 48th over respectively, with a collapse in the tail following it, eventually resulted in the hosts getting all out on 276, falling 13 runs short of the target. Indian bowlers with the likes of Deepak Chahar, Kuldeep Yadav, and Axar Patel picked up 2 wickets each, whereas, Avesh Khan picked 3 wickets.

Earlier in the 1st innings, India went up to a fine start with Shikhar Dhawan & skipper KL Rahul’s opening stand of 63 runs, and Shubman Gill’s maiden ODI ton, his knock of 130(97) comprised of 15 boundaries and 1 six. Along with Ishan Kishan’s half century , and a 140 runs stand between them, India stood in a commanding position.
India collapsed in the death overs, with Zimbabwe pacer Brad Evans picking 5 wickets haul, stopping India at 289 runs.
