Vadodara, December 24, 2024: India defeated West Indies by 115 runs at Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara in 2nd ODI & clinched the 3 Match series 2-0. Harleen Deol’s maiden ODI ton played key role in the feat.
Batting first, Indian openers Smriti Mandhana (53) & Pratika Rawal (76) started off with 110 runs opening partnership.
However, the Indian innings became special due to Harleen Deol’s maiden ODI ton. She with knock of 115 (103) hammered West Indies bowlers, with 16 boundaries. It also included vital 116 runs partnership with Jemimah Rodrigues (52) , that powered India to 358-5 (50).
Defending 359 runs, India grabbed 4 quick wickets for 69 runs.
India’s bowling was threatened heavily by West Indies skipper Hayley Matthews’ 7th ODI ton. She smashed 106 (109) that included 13 boundaries.
Despite Matthews’ heroics, Indian bowlers – Priya Mishra (3/49) bagged 3-fer, while, Pratika Rawal, Titas Sadhu, Deepti Sharma picked 2-fers, as India demolished West Indies to 243 (46.2).
Harleen was adjourned Player of the match for her heroics.
