IND vs NZ: Twitter fumes in anger after Virat Kohli given out LBW in Mumbai Test

Mumbai: India skipper Virat Kohli’s return to International cricket wasn’t the most soothing one as he went home for a duck on the 1st day of the second Test against New Zealand in Mumbai on Friday.

However, it’s wasn’t the score that made news rather the way of his dismissal which created headlines. Kohli was given out LBW off Ajaz Patel in the 30th over of India’s innings by the on-field umpire after the New Zealand players went up in appeal.

The ball though looked to be hitting the bat first but the third umpire Virender Sharma felt that the evidence was inconclusive and asked the on-field umpire Anil Chaudhary to stick to his decision which was out. This left the India skipper fumed as he made his disappointment known to the umpire before walking out while even slammed the bat to the ground showing his anger.

However, not just the star batsman himself but Twitter also went berserk as soon as they got hold of what has happened. Several fans even showed their agony on the social media Tweeting “Even gully Cricket umpires are better than Virendra Sharma.”
